LIBRARY ASSISTANT (PART TIME)
To assume duty 01 October 2021

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to: 

  • Processing new resources 
  • Library patron support 
  • Assisting with circulation and stock-take 
  • Assistance with repairs to books 
  • General administrative duties as required

Requirements: 

  • Drivers Licence 
  • Matric 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a library 
  • To operate pro-actively with attention to detail

Rondebosch Boys’ High School wishes to appoint an Afrikaans First Additional Language teacher (Grades 8 – 12) with effect from January 2021.

The following qualities and abilities are required:

  • Experience of teaching Afrikaans FAL to a Matric level
  • An interest in expanding and enriching the boys’ exposure to Afrikaans
  • An interest in teaching Advanced Programme Afrikaans (IEB) or A Level Afrikaans.
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and proof of SACE registration
  • Although not essential, NSC marking experience would be a strong recommendation.
  • The willingness and ability to coach at least one of the school’s major sports (Cricket, Rugby, Hockey, Water Polo). Coaching certification would be a strong recommendation.

The following would be recommended:

  • Good English communication skills
  • Computer skills
  • The ability to use information and communication technologies in the classroom
  • Willingness to lead a team if called upon to do so
