Sound Technician (College)

Uplands seeks to employ a Sound Technician whose strengths will lie in good verbal and written communication as well as being energetic, analytical and results-driven.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Manage audio volume and sound qualities at live events 
  • Set up and take down equipment and perform sound checks
  • Meet with the various stakeholders to determine the desired sounds for performances
  • Monitor equipment for needed repairs and test recording equipment when required
  • Possess sound equipment and acoustic experience
  • Be well organised and understand the value of team work
  • Ideally be studying towards relevant qualification

  • Engagement with and promotion of positive relations across the College’s stakeholders
  • Review of institutional policies and practices.
